Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress who hails from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic home. The father of Jacqueline, Elroy Fernandez is Sri Lankan. She is the younger of two brothers and an older brother. In the wake of turmoil in the country, her parents relocated to Bahrain in the early 1980s. She was given a scholarship to study at an undergraduate program at the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia, after completing her education in Bahrain. To further develop her love of cultures, languages and other languages she enrolled in the Berlitz language schools in order to master Spanish as well as improve French as well as Arabic. Padukone's father was a badminton player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has had a childhood in Copenhagen and Bangalore. Padukone played in the national championships when she was an teen, but she gave up her sport career in order to be a model. Padukone was born in Mangalore, India. The language she speaks is Konkani is where she comes from. Her ancestors come from the village Padukone within the Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state of India. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is an old badminton player who is of international repute, and her mother works as a travel agent.
